the pilot program is set to expire in june… and leaders of the program are trying to get 3 more years approved. lawmakers approved the next chapter program back in 20-21 — providing 1-point-46 million-dollars a year. but the funding came with several requirements. one of them was to provide service to 700 veterans and family members… but as of today — that number is just over 12-hundred through the program — lawmakers hoped to see the veteran suicide rate go down. it came after in 20-21… 1 in 3 suicides in el paso county involved a veteran. but come 20-22 — that number dropped 5-percent — and officials with next chapter believe that trend will continue. so — they plan on going back to the capitol to present these new results. we expect to know by the end of march whether the program will continue or not. and the justice department released special council jack smith’s final report overnight. it comes after a federal judge cleared the way for its release. the 130-page report contains details about trump’s efforts to overturn the 20-20 election including: pressuring state officials — pressuring then-vice president mike pence — and the plan to use fraudulent electors. one part of the report
