Collaborative Partners

A grant-funded community wellness collaborative serving Veterans and their families.

Next Chapter is a community collaboration, serving as a portal for Veterans seeking services. After receiving funding from the Colorado Behavioral Health Administration in 2022, UCHealth and Mt. Carmel Veterans Service Center launched a grant-funded Veteran suicide prevention pilot program in El Paso County. This program is intended to serve up to 700 Veterans and their family members each year. UCHealth, Mt. Carmel Veterans Service Center, Colorado Springs NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) and many other community partners are providing a wide array of services for Veterans and their family members.

Next Chapter is where you begin.

Mt. Carmel Veterans Service Center provides transition and employment assistance, behavioral health and wellness, supportive services, connection to community resources, and safe event space for veterans, military members and their families. Mt. Carmel was a dream of Mr. Jay Cimino and his strong desire to support our veteran community in meaningful ways.
