Collaborative Partners

A community wellness collaborative serving Veterans and their families

Next Chapter is a collaborative community initiative that serves as a central resource for Veterans seeking support. After receiving funding in 2022, UCHealth and Mt. Carmel Veterans Service Center launched a Veteran suicide prevention pilot program in the Pikes Peak Region. The program provides comprehensive services to Veterans and their families through partnerships with UCHealth, Mt. Carmel Veterans Service Center, Colorado Springs NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness), and other community organizations.

Mt. Carmel Veterans Service Center provides transition and employment assistance, behavioral health and wellness, supportive services, connection to community resources, and safe event space for veterans, military members and their families. Mt. Carmel was a dream of Mr. Jay Cimino and his strong desire to support our veteran community in meaningful ways.
